Clean bill of health...

I received a phone call from my OBGYN this afternoon and she gave us some good news!
Everything came back normal and great looking on my lab results that were done last Monday (Valentine's Day).   I tested negative for all major diseases via the blood test and the urine sample showed no cultures or growths.
No anemia, no sign of diabetes or insulin issues, so PRAISE THE LORD!

I finally found out after 33 years of living that my blood type is A negative.  So, I will have to get the Rho Gam shot at week 28.

We go on March 2nd for our First Trimester Screening and may find out the sex then!!

HERE IS A SNEAK PEEK DEBUT OF BABY WARREN!

Heart Day!

Today was the perfect Valentine's Day!
I woke up to tons of little Valentine's spread all over the house (you know, like the kind you get when you are in school from that special admirer and you try to collect a ton).  It was very special!  They were taped on baseboards, TV's, in the dog bowls, on the stove, everywhere!    Then, I had a card taped to my bathroom mirror and a card on Will's nightstand.   Both cards were amazing....one was from Will and included a very special and heartfeld message and one was from Baby Warren!
After what seemed to be a very long workday from 8:30 until 3:00, we finally got to go to see Dr. Bailey AND our baby!   The baby is growing nicely!   We thought we were 9 weeks yesterday, but we were further along than we had thought - 10 weeks!  We also received our due date:  September 13, 2011!  One day before my birthday.   It was such a special visit.   The baby actually looked like a baby on the sono rather than a little tadpole.   It was such a happy day!  They took my blood and said I was so happy and blissful that it didn't even hurt me (usually I flinch and hate needles).

After the visit, Will took me to dinner at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion.  It was so amazing!   We had a four course meal of macadamia crusted brie, duck crepe, ramen soup, pear salad, filet mignon in lobster hollandaise, and shortrib of beef with pancetta and three cheese macaroni and cheese.  For dessert, it was their famous chocolate souffle and strawberry lemon cheesecake.  Yum!

In lieu of a movie or other date thing, we decided to go to Babies R Us and purchase picture frames for the sonogram pictures!   We walked all around the store looking at all of the products:  bedding, bottles, clothes, and pregnancy pillows.  Will shook several beds to determine their sturdiness and we fell in love with a bouncer that is a piano so when the baby is bouncing, it can play songs!!!

This was the best Valentine's Day ever!

So excited for tomorrow...

Well, tomorrow is the big day...love is in the air.  We had a great weekend!   Friday night, Will took me to Carabba's for dinner right after we checked out the big sale at Albertson's in Carrollton for some good buys!
Saturday, we met Amy and Chris for lunch at Gloria's in the Harbor in Rockwall and then I went shopping with Anne for some new work clothes.  Saturday evening, we met the Wall's for dinner at Snuffer's and I fell asleep during Saturday Night Live at 10:30 on the dot!
Sunday we were lazy most of the day....had breakfast at Cafe Brazil (I made a happy plate with my fruit pancreps), we had some pictures taken at Babe's in Frisco and then had some delicious food at Sea Breeze in Plano.
Tomorrow we have our regular work day and then get to go to the doctor FINALLY, after two weeks of delay!  My friend Jana announced her pregnancy and I am so excited to have someone pregnant at the same time with me!
I will keep everyone up to date with our appointment news...we hope to hear the baby's heartbeat!!!!

A heartbeat on Valentine's Day would be so special!

"Snowmaggedon" and Baby Warren

Our first doctor's visit with Dr. Bailey was on January 19th.  Only the yolk/gestational sac and the start of the embryonic tail were visible.  Which in lamen's terms means...nothing!  I called it the black hole.  You can't tell much from those sonogram pictures, but it was pointless that we went in that early, other to get some questions answered by the doctor.

My hcg hormone levels were measured through blood tests and were doubling, so that was great, but my progesterone was low.  The nurse kept calling my pregnancy hormone "beautiful", so that was nice!  Dr. Bailey suggested that I take the progesterone hormone suppositories and boy, are they a joy :)

The second appointment was then scheduled for Feb. 2.  Well, the biggest snowstorm of the year would take place on that Tuesday evening and shut everyone down for two days!   Our family in Tulsa got almost 2 feet of snow! So, they rescheduled us for Feb. 4th, Friday.  Guess what?  SNOW AGAIN!    It was white everywhere and the roads were not able to be driven on by anyone.  It was a fun snow day with Daddy, me, Tuff, and Lolz.  They rescheduled my appointment to Wednesday, February 9th.   You guessed it - sleet, snow, and the wintery mix of  Texas panic on the roads.   Mommy and Daddy had ANOTHER free day at home to play in the snow and laugh and just relax.   See the attached video in which Tuffy and Lola were not too fond of the snow!   I labeled the video:  SNOW DOGS

Either this baby is very camera shy or is going to love Snow!

Therefore, our NEW and IMPROVED (and almost 9 week) appointment date is tomorrow, Feb. 11th at 2:30 p.m.

Stay tuned...

Our First Photo of 2011

Will and I rang in the New Year in our home state of Oklahoma with good friends, Morgan and Shayna Lewis.
We had a fun time that weekend!!

Welcome to Our Blog!

Will and I have decided to keep this blog as a keepsake and living diary for our new family and all of our adventures and life happenings.  We are very excited about it, and so grateful to Miss Christi for designing such a beautiful layout for our blog.  The colors mirror that of our wedding colors which will be used in June, just three and a half short months away!!!   In the upcoming months, we have lots to share and this will be a great place for people to check in with us and stay in the loop.
We look very forward to all of the blessings that God has in store for us!

Lots of faith, hope, and love - A&W
