One Month - October 6th

Mommy is a little late at posting this...(what can I say?  I have my hands full)
There are so many fun things to report.  I hope I don't embarrass you with some of these details, but I want to remember all of the wonderful things about you.   From September 6th to October 6th, here are some fun things that have happened in our household and in the world in which you live!

-You love to sleep!  You sleep anywhere.  In Mommy's arms, on Daddy's chest, in your basinette, in your Rock and Play Sleeper, in your crib, and especially in your carrier!
-The doggies love you...they like to sniff you and sit by Mommy whenever you are in my arms.  They are so good with you, which had us worried a bit, but they have done great.
-You love to ride in the car.  Mommy and you will run errands and you love to sleep in your car seat and in the shopping cart at the store.
-You are such a good baby!
-Nana came and stayed with us for three weeks and was such a huge help!  Daddy and Mommy would have never known some of the stuff that she taught us and helped us with.
-While we were in the hospital with you, Zeus and Lola decided to eat and chew on everything in the backyard.  It was so funny...Pops sent a picture to us that said "welcome to the warzone".  They were missing us!
-The hospital food was so yummy!!!  We may go back a time or two and especially if you have a brother or sister!
-We love you so very much.  Everyone tried to tell us the great capacity of love and we didn't understand until after you were here.  Boy!!!  They were right.   Our hearts are completely full in a way you will never know until your child is born.
-You love your Swing and Seat that Nana bought you.  It is your favorite thing...next to Tummy time/chest time!
-Everyone comments on how beautiful of a baby you are!  It is non-stop and so flattering (and we totally agree)
-We like to sit outside on the patio and throw the ball to the doggies.  They love play time and you like being outdoors.
-Mommy goes back to work on Nov 1 and I am soaking up every minute with you.  I love holding you and taking care of you.
-You are so gassy, but you do well with your gas drops and Dr. Brown's bottles.
-The Texas Rangers are in the World Series again!   Which is funny, considering Mommy and Daddy's relationship started last year at the World Series game on November 1.

The first time we met you - love at first sight!  Love you so much!

You have already touched Daddy's heart!

Most beautiful baby in the world!

one month!  TIME FLIES!

Baby Shower!

Hello Miss Hadley!
Mommy's baby shower was on Sunday, July 31st at Stonebriar Country Club.  It was such a special event.  60 of Mommy's closest friends, family, clients, and co-workers came to celebrate us and shower us with gifts for your upcoming arrival.  The hostesses were:   Aunt Cathy Atkins, Auntie Anne Wall, and Auntie Amy Clardy.
The color scheme was chocolate brown and pink w/polka dots, just like your nursery.   The menu consisted of a veggie and fruit tray, mac and cheese martinis with toppings, Swedish meatballs, and sesame chicken fingers.  Mommy's favorite was the pink lemonade.  It was so sweet and delicious.  You really liked it!
Auntie Anne got a special cake with Chocolate, Strawberry, and White, and then, there was milk too!  Chocolate milk, strawberry milk, and  plain white milk.  Aunt Cathy bought our favorite cookies from Magnolia bakery in the shapes of carriages, feet, and baby onesies.  Aunt Amy did a scrap-booking station and each person did a page for your scrapbook!  It was such a great idea!  She also did the beautiful centerpieces for the tables.
The present table was overflowing and Mommy had to get started on the gifts or we would have been there all night.  We had so much fun!!   This has been such a fun journey with you, Hadley.  We can't wait for more fun moments.  Love you little one!

31 weeks....and counting!

Hello sweet Hadley Faith...hope you are cooking well in there and aren't getting too comfortable, because in just a few weeks, you will be home with Mommy, Daddy, and your doggy siblings...

Here is a current bump picture of Mommy.

Here are some current tidbits about what has been going on the past month!

- Mommy and Daddy have been very busy at our jobs.  Daddy has inventory and Mommy has had a very hectic month with lots of problem files.  We are hoping to get everything done so that we can take maternity and paternity leave.
-Our favorite songs right now are "Dirt Road Anthem" by Jason Aldean and "Today, I Don't Feel Like Doing Anything" by Bruno Mars.
-Nana and Aunt Cathy will be here in a couple of weeks to celebrate your BABY SHOWER.  It's going to be so fun.  It's going to be pink and chocolate brown themed like your nursery, and the girls are serving strawberry (pink) and chocolate (brown) milk with the cake!  In lieu of cards, the guests are bringing a story book for you, so there will be lots of reading to Miss Hadley.
-We went to Oklahoma for the 4th of July.  It was very hot, but the fireworks were fun.  Chris and Amy went with us and it was a fun road trip.
-Zeus and Lola are quite fond of one another.  They go in the crate together even.  He is just like Marley from Marley and Me...always into something.  We call him "our baby before the baby". But, we wouldn't have it any other way.
-Currently, you are measuring 2 weeks early.  I am not sure if that just means you are big, had a growth spurt, or that you will come about 2 weeks early, but we are sure interested in finding out.
- Mommy's favorite foods right now are:  Kind Bars, anything seafood, stuffed jalapenos or anything with jalapenos it seems, cereal, and what else?...CHOCOLATE MILK, your favorite!
-Daddy got to feel you last night and he could actually make out your body/face/where you were laying...he gets so excited with these new little discoveries and his face lights up.
-I wish we had more to report, but we take it easy quite a bit.  The Texas heat is hot and after our long work weeks, we just like to be at home relaxing.
-We had some bump pictures taken on Sunday with Rhiannon...they turned out so cute.
I will post a few in a separate thread.
-We have two things to add to the walls on your nursery and then I will post pics for that!
-I CANNOT WAIT TO HOLD YOU IN MY ARMS!
-You love to kick at night when I am laying down reading.

We love you little one!

Had(all)ley!

Your cousin Caroline loves to call you Had-all-lee, adding an extra syllable in there!  It's so adorable.  She likes to kiss Mommy's tummy too.

Here is your 26 week sonogram picture.  You are measuring at 2.5 pounds and between 27-28 weeks. I already want to squeeze your chubby cheeks.

We went in for the one hour glucose testing and the results came back at 117...NORMAL!  I have gained only 13 pounds with you since January.  The doctor is very pleased and this has been a really great pregnancy (knock on wood).  Daddy says that "my body is responding well to the pregnancy".  It makes me laugh.

He loves to read Shel Silverstein to you at night.  He is going to be such a great Daddy!

Mommy's friends are already working on the big Baby Shower for you next month.  We cannot wait to finalize your room.  Daddy has finished the painting and we are going to get your crib this weekend.

We love you HADLEY FAITH!

6 months...moving right along!

Today is May 23rd and we are approaching our 6 month mark...

Below is a picture of Mommy and you, Hadley!  We have gained 12 pounds since January.  Not bad my baby girl!

-Daddy got to feel you kick last night...it was so special.  His face lit up!  He finally knows now what I have been trying to describe for the last 6 weeks.
-Mommy and Daddy like to go to the gym and swim laps.  It's really good for the labor and muscles and it makes us sleep like babies.  (No pun intended)
-Daddy took us to see one of our favorite bands:  Third Eye Blind on Saturday night.  It was a lot of fun!  Mommy stayed up late...which usually doesn't happen!
-You really seem to like the Frozen Strawberry Lemonade from McDonald's.  It's a nice sweet treat.
-We have started your room (or should I say Daddy has)  We are doing it in Chocolate Brown, Taupe, and Pink with polka dots and princesses.  It's so cute!!
-Speaking of Princesses, Mommy is going to dress up in a princess dress here in about 10 days and go to the ball with Daddy.  It will be a very special night.   A night we have been planning for a very long time!
-Zeus has had a really upset tummy lately and is so "puppylike".  He loves to get into everything...he ate a whole meatloaf out of the trash the other night.   And no, that didn't contribute to his tummy issues!
-In and Out burger seems to be the big deal in our community right now.  Why people wait 3 hours for a burger is beyond me or Daddy!!!
-We are getting so excited about seeing you for the first time and holding you.  We love you so much!
-The only problem we have right now is that Mommy's wrists are starting to get sore, which is normal from our books.  Oh, and you like to rest RIGHT on Mommy's bladder, so I use the restroom every 30 min!

Mother's Day!

Mother's Day was so special to us!   I am a Mommy to Be, and Daddy made it very special for Mommy!

Saturday night, we went bowling with Crystal and Edward and had quite a bit of "electrifying" fun...the electricity kept going out, but that didn't stop us from having a great time with them.   Daddy bowled two excellent games!

The next morning, Daddy let the doggies out and then brought Mommy a present - a big pink bag with lots of pretty pink tissue paper - what could it be??   Daddy wanted me to open the present all week, but I kept telling him, NO, we will wait until it's actually Mother's Day.   So, I opened the bag...Daddy got me two charms for my charm bracelet from James Avery.  One was a sterling silver "baby onesie" that we can have engraved with your name, date of birth, and weight!   The other was a charm of our birthstone - sapphire.  Since we are both September babies.   I can't wait for you to get here sweet girl!   He also got a picture frame for your room that says "Mommy, my favorite place is being next to you".  Everyone already knows that your nursery colors are pink and brown.   You already have so many things in your room!!

We laid around most of the day, which was so much fun...Daddy and Mommy have been on the go quite a lot lately!   We watched movies and TV, and then saw the Dallas Mavs advance to the Western Conference Finals by sweeping the LA Lakers.  Then, Nana treated us to a very nice dinner at Del Frisco's!   It was the perfect day!

You are going to have such a loving family, and we can't wait to love and dote on you, and give you so many happy memories.

Love, Mommy and Daddy!!

The Royal Wedding!

Hadley, you and Mommy woke up very early and watched the Royal Wedding - Prince William married Kate Middleton.  Friday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m.  The wedding was 6 hours behind here in Texas and we saw it LIVE!   It was such a joyous event.  Every girl dreams of being a princess and having a fairy tell wedding!  I can't wait to marry your daddy - my very own PRINCE WILLIAM!

It was so cute.  Daddy walked in just as Mommy was crying while they were saying their vows and he named the doggies all British Royalty names!   Lord Tuff Tuff, Duchess of Lolz, and Jester Zeus.  He makes me laugh all the time!!

Halfway there!

Hadley Faith, we were 20 weeks on Tuesday of this week which marks our halfway point!   I cannot thank you enough because this pregnancy has really been so wonderful.   Now, if only this Texas weather could behave long enough for Mommy's allergies to go away.   We are so blessed by you and we cannot wait to meet you and hold you and love you!

I know I sound like a broken record.  I hope you are enjoying the foods and drinks that I feed you.   I love you so much honeybee!

Aunt Cathy, Nana, Caroline, and Callie will be here this evening so there will be tons going on!

I could not resist taking this photo of Lola and Zeus on the bed this morning.   Mommy and Daddy were both snapping pics with our camera phones.  They are the best cuddlers and they cannot wait to cuddle with you!   They will be very protective of you sweet girl.  Zeus is going to sleep under your crib, he's already told us  :)

-Mommy and Daddy have decided to have you at Baylor Medical in Frisco.  We hope you like it there.  There are clouds on the ceiling for the babies to look at and it's a very nice new place.  Daddy is excited about the Steak and Lobster Celebratory dinner.
-Daddy makes Dr. Bailey laugh at each of our appointments.
-My What to Expect App on my (CRACKED) I-phone says that you are the size of banana.  (My little monkey).
-Mommy isn't showing very much, but any day now, I am waiting to pop w/a bump!
-My favorite foods now are cheese and peanuts, Starbursts, Texas Roadhouse rolls w/cinnamon butter, and Cherry Turnovers.  Daddy made some for Mommy and they are nummy to our tummy!
-Mommy's best girlfriends are in town this weekend for a very special party.  I am super excited and I am sure I will be laughing a lot because they are funny girls!

Here are some recent pictures of Mommy and Daddy there were taken at the Dallas Arboretum last weekend!   Can you tell that we have the GLOW?  Everyone else can!  You bring out the best in us.  WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH SWEETHEART!

YOU MOVED

Well Miss Hadley - I am sure it isn't the first time you've moved, but it is the first time that I felt you move!  Mommy has been waiting on pins and needles for those first little kicks and flutters.   I was on the computer looking at some pictures that Mommy and Daddy had done, and I felt a little flutter a few times!

Today is going to be a happy day.  We love you!!!  19  weeks today sweet girl.
See you soon!!!

-Love Mommy and Daddy
and Tuff, and Lola, and Zeus too!

Touching....

Mommy received a very sweet and touching e-mail from a very close personal friend yesterday...someone that has been in Mommy's life for about 10 years now.    It was very sweet and it made Mommy feel good!

I just wanted to tell you how beautiful pregnant I think you are. There is a peace and glow in and around you, what a beautiful bride you will make.
God has truly blessed you and what a wonderful mother you are going to make. I am going to enjoy watching you grow with our little girl.

Thank you Janet!

17 weeks!

We are 17 weeks today!

-As per the books we have, you are the size of a sweet potato today.
-Mommy's feet get very sore if I am up on them for too long.  We found that out in Canton yesterday.
-We are having some new carpet put in the house next week.
-We go back to see Dr. Bailey in 10 days.  They will confirm that you are a girl...we know you are.

-The Texas Rangers sweeped the Red Sox!

-Daddy has been working very hard at his job lately.  He is so dedicated to it and to his family.
-Zeus is afraid of lightning.
-Mommy and Daddy enjoy going over to The Semprun's for TV and dinner night.
ppppppppppp - That was Zeus helping Mommy type on the keyboard.
-We hope to plant some flowers and work in the yard in a few weeks since the weather is nice.
-Auntie Anne and Uncle Aaron are silly...they went with us, and Aunt Mar Mar too - to Canton!  As Daddy calls it:  Big Monday! We had fun but Mommy's feet were very sore so we didn't stay very long.  Daddy is super protective and doting on Mommy.  It is sweet!
-Mommy and Daddy had a fun date night Saturday night:  hot fudge sundaes and golf on the Xbox.

So long first trimester!

Hi baby girl...
Yesterday marked our 14 weeks!   We are no longer in the first trimester.   Here are some fun tidbits with regard to the world and things around you that are going on.

You are the size of a navel orange today...as per my What to Expect When Expecting Book.
Daddy is working on painting your bathroom!  Your room will come in a few weeks!
Zeus is 3 months old. He is as old as you are gestationally, but quite more of a handful!
Charlie Sheen is in the middle of a nervous breakdown.
Japan had a huge earthquake and tsunami last Friday, 3-11-11.
Your Aunt Cathy has already bought you a ton of clothes!  She is very excited about you!!!
Everyone tells Mommy that she has the "glow" or an "aura" about her.  You make Mommy pretty.
Your Grandma Sharrie is coming in town for a visit this weekend, and so is Aunt C and your cousin Caroline.
Mommy has no food aversions, no anything...you have been a joy to be pregnant with.
It is starting to get warm and springlike in Dallas.
Mommy does not like having to lose an hour of sleep because of the time change.
We are stuck on these names for you:  Lydia, Mallory, or Isadora.  We will see which one makes the cut!
Daddy makes Dr. B laugh in all of our doctor visits.  He is such a ham...
Tuffy, Lola, and Zeus all like to sleep on Mommy or be up next to her.  They know you are in there!!!
(Daddy gets jealous at the one above)
Nana calls everyday to check on us, and it is very sweet.   Pops is very excited too.
Uncle Bob has to go back to sea on Monday, so we won't see him for awhile.
Easter will be here before we know it, and so will you!!
Mommy has hardly gained any weight with you - 2 pounds on the charts at the Doctor's office.

Here is a pic of Mommy at 13 weeks and 6 days pregnant.   Starting to get a bump.   We love you!!!

Daddy is home!

Daddy went to Orlando on Monday with his friend/co-manager Charlie for their annual manager's meeting.  It was so rough having him gone - first night away from him!  The first night, I was so bored.  I watched some TV here and there and was on THE BUMP community forums most of the night with several September 2011 mommies.  I went to bed pretty early - 8:30!  Work has been pretty busy, since my assistant was out on vacation.  Tuesday evening, I went out with the Wishies to a Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras party.  It was fun.  I just had some edamame and cooked sushi rolls.   Aunt Crystal talked to Nana on the phone and made me laugh.  It was a fun night, but I was SOOOO ready to pick Daddy up at the airport tonight and hug him!

I saw this today....it made me laugh

This will be us!

It's a girl - 95 % sure

Will and I went to Children's Hospital on Wednesday for our First Trimester Screening test in order to do early detection of Downs Syndrome and any chromosomal abnormalities.   From the naked eye the liquid level around the spine and neck were, in their words, "beautiful" and "great", so that was such a great feeling.   My blood test will come in next week sometime and we will know more from that based on age and other family history type items.   They had a fancy schmancy ultrasound machine that is able to detect gender this early on - or should I say a 95% accuracy rate.   They predicted:  GIRL  ------   pink   ------- bows.
She was moving all around and waving at us and quite jumpy.  She even had the hiccups we think.

Dr. Zaretsky did tell us not to go out and paint rooms or buy a ton of things yet, though!
I am going to be a great Mom and Will is going to be an awesome Dad!  This baby will be Daddy's girl and Mommy's buddy!  Will told his best friend Morgan, that she will have him wrapped around her finger just like her mama.  Is that not the sweetest?
We are working on some names but that will change 6,000 times so we may not tell anyone until she is born.
We are so happy!

Clean bill of health...

I received a phone call from my OBGYN this afternoon and she gave us some good news!
Everything came back normal and great looking on my lab results that were done last Monday (Valentine's Day).   I tested negative for all major diseases via the blood test and the urine sample showed no cultures or growths.
No anemia, no sign of diabetes or insulin issues, so PRAISE THE LORD!

I finally found out after 33 years of living that my blood type is A negative.  So, I will have to get the Rho Gam shot at week 28.

We go on March 2nd for our First Trimester Screening and may find out the sex then!!

HERE IS A SNEAK PEEK DEBUT OF BABY WARREN!

Heart Day!

Today was the perfect Valentine's Day!
I woke up to tons of little Valentine's spread all over the house (you know, like the kind you get when you are in school from that special admirer and you try to collect a ton).  It was very special!  They were taped on baseboards, TV's, in the dog bowls, on the stove, everywhere!    Then, I had a card taped to my bathroom mirror and a card on Will's nightstand.   Both cards were amazing....one was from Will and included a very special and heartfeld message and one was from Baby Warren!
After what seemed to be a very long workday from 8:30 until 3:00, we finally got to go to see Dr. Bailey AND our baby!   The baby is growing nicely!   We thought we were 9 weeks yesterday, but we were further along than we had thought - 10 weeks!  We also received our due date:  September 13, 2011!  One day before my birthday.   It was such a special visit.   The baby actually looked like a baby on the sono rather than a little tadpole.   It was such a happy day!  They took my blood and said I was so happy and blissful that it didn't even hurt me (usually I flinch and hate needles).

After the visit, Will took me to dinner at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion.  It was so amazing!   We had a four course meal of macadamia crusted brie, duck crepe, ramen soup, pear salad, filet mignon in lobster hollandaise, and shortrib of beef with pancetta and three cheese macaroni and cheese.  For dessert, it was their famous chocolate souffle and strawberry lemon cheesecake.  Yum!

In lieu of a movie or other date thing, we decided to go to Babies R Us and purchase picture frames for the sonogram pictures!   We walked all around the store looking at all of the products:  bedding, bottles, clothes, and pregnancy pillows.  Will shook several beds to determine their sturdiness and we fell in love with a bouncer that is a piano so when the baby is bouncing, it can play songs!!!

This was the best Valentine's Day ever!

So excited for tomorrow...

Well, tomorrow is the big day...love is in the air.  We had a great weekend!   Friday night, Will took me to Carabba's for dinner right after we checked out the big sale at Albertson's in Carrollton for some good buys!
Saturday, we met Amy and Chris for lunch at Gloria's in the Harbor in Rockwall and then I went shopping with Anne for some new work clothes.  Saturday evening, we met the Wall's for dinner at Snuffer's and I fell asleep during Saturday Night Live at 10:30 on the dot!
Sunday we were lazy most of the day....had breakfast at Cafe Brazil (I made a happy plate with my fruit pancreps), we had some pictures taken at Babe's in Frisco and then had some delicious food at Sea Breeze in Plano.
Tomorrow we have our regular work day and then get to go to the doctor FINALLY, after two weeks of delay!  My friend Jana announced her pregnancy and I am so excited to have someone pregnant at the same time with me!
I will keep everyone up to date with our appointment news...we hope to hear the baby's heartbeat!!!!

A heartbeat on Valentine's Day would be so special!

"Snowmaggedon" and Baby Warren

Our first doctor's visit with Dr. Bailey was on January 19th.  Only the yolk/gestational sac and the start of the embryonic tail were visible.  Which in lamen's terms means...nothing!  I called it the black hole.  You can't tell much from those sonogram pictures, but it was pointless that we went in that early, other to get some questions answered by the doctor.

My hcg hormone levels were measured through blood tests and were doubling, so that was great, but my progesterone was low.  The nurse kept calling my pregnancy hormone "beautiful", so that was nice!  Dr. Bailey suggested that I take the progesterone hormone suppositories and boy, are they a joy :)

The second appointment was then scheduled for Feb. 2.  Well, the biggest snowstorm of the year would take place on that Tuesday evening and shut everyone down for two days!   Our family in Tulsa got almost 2 feet of snow! So, they rescheduled us for Feb. 4th, Friday.  Guess what?  SNOW AGAIN!    It was white everywhere and the roads were not able to be driven on by anyone.  It was a fun snow day with Daddy, me, Tuff, and Lolz.  They rescheduled my appointment to Wednesday, February 9th.   You guessed it - sleet, snow, and the wintery mix of  Texas panic on the roads.   Mommy and Daddy had ANOTHER free day at home to play in the snow and laugh and just relax.   See the attached video in which Tuffy and Lola were not too fond of the snow!   I labeled the video:  SNOW DOGS

Either this baby is very camera shy or is going to love Snow!

Therefore, our NEW and IMPROVED (and almost 9 week) appointment date is tomorrow, Feb. 11th at 2:30 p.m.

Stay tuned...

Our First Photo of 2011

Will and I rang in the New Year in our home state of Oklahoma with good friends, Morgan and Shayna Lewis.
We had a fun time that weekend!!

Welcome to Our Blog!

Will and I have decided to keep this blog as a keepsake and living diary for our new family and all of our adventures and life happenings.  We are very excited about it, and so grateful to Miss Christi for designing such a beautiful layout for our blog.  The colors mirror that of our wedding colors which will be used in June, just three and a half short months away!!!   In the upcoming months, we have lots to share and this will be a great place for people to check in with us and stay in the loop.
We look very forward to all of the blessings that God has in store for us!

Lots of faith, hope, and love - A&W
